In-Service teachers training course on Media Education

An in-Service international teachers training course on Media Education was carried out last week at Pixel. The course, entitled ICT and New Media for teaching and learning, provided teachers with the skills to use new media for the development of students' literacy skills (reading and writing) as well as students’ awareness in the use of new media. The 14 secondary school teachers who attended the training course acquired the skills to design Media based educational contents, evaluate and assess media skills, teach reading skills through the exploitation of new media, enhance critical thinking skills of pupils through the exploitation of new media.
