Fédération départementale Familles Rurales de Maine et Loire was founded in 1947. Its main activities are:  supporting parents in their educational mission, responding to the needs of families and defending their interests, local entertainment and activity services thanks to a network made up of 1,700 local associations, 127,000 member families, 25,000 volunteers and 14,000 employees.
