Goethe University Frankfurt (GU) is a leading comprehensive research university with 16 faculties, affiliated with 20 Nobel laureates and 18 Leibniz Prize recipients. GU collaborates closely with renowned institutes such as the Max Planck and Leibniz Institutes. The Faculty of Modern Languages, where this project will take place, hosts several national and international projects and has a long tradition of offering courses in Italian as a second language, especially for future teachers of Italian at school. Professor Torregrossa’s team specializes in multilingualism and second language acquisition, with particular expertise in Italian language teaching.
