Description
The State Distance University (Universidad Estatal a Distancia, UNED) is a public higher education institution established by Law No. 6044 on March 3, 1977, under the presidency of Daniel Oduber Quirós. UNED is the first institution specialized in higher education through mass media communication, as stated in 1977, pioneering the distance education model in Latin America.
