The IES Miguel Catalán is a public centre that depends on the Regional Ministry of Education of Madrid and owes its name to the physicist and chemist Miguel Catalán Sañudo. It was inaugurated in 1976 as a centre exclusively for vocational training until 1990 when secondary education courses were added.
