The European project entitled E-Classes was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership for vocational education and training. The European project has been written and coordinated by Liceul Tehnologic de Mecatronica si Automatizari based in Iasi (Romania) and involves Pixel in the transnational partnership. This European project has the objective to develop professional and pedagogic competencies among teachers and trainers enhancing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) uptake in teaching and learning, through the support and the access to open educational resources (OER).

Project Title

Enhancing ICT uptake in teaching and learning, through the support and the access to open educational resources (OER).

Context

E-Classes project wants to help the VET teachers in revising and strengthening the professional profile and competences of young people, particularly those at risk of early school leaving and with low basic skills, developing a methodology especially focusing on the use of ICT.
The project’s main aim is to elaborate, train and experiment the flipped classroom pedagogic model improving VET teachers and students e-competences.

Objectives

The main objectives are:
- strengthen the e-skills and the adoption of practices of collaborative learning for science and technological teachers;
- promotion of flipping or reversing traditional way of teaching/learning in schools;
- adopt an approach based on learning outcomes also suitable for low skilled learners and with risk of dropout;
- acquire tools to stimulate creativity and innovation;
- stimulate students’ active and creative role with the use of ICT;
- job orientation and integration in collaboration with companies;
- offer training at EU level both for teachers and students
