Context
The Tech4Impact project transforms technical students (HEI/VET) into social entrepreneurs, bridging the gap between technological expertise and community impact within the proximity economy. By developing innovative curricula, MOOCs, and AI-driven tools, it fosters social innovation across Greece, Lithuania, Romania, and Bulgaria. The initiative builds a European ecosystem that integrates modern technology with sustainable business models to drive job creation and inclusion. Ultimately, it validates skills through micro-credentials and specialized mentorship to launch successful social enterprises.
Objectives
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
● Foster Social Innovation: Develop and deliver new curricula and training programs for HEIs and VET students that focus on social entrepreneurship, incorporating modern tools, methodologies, and technologies.
● Bridge Knowledge Gaps: Establish collaboration between education providers and enterprises to create learning environments that simulate real-world challenges and foster problem-solving skills.
● Promote Entrepreneurial Mindsets: Introduce and embed entrepreneurial attitudes and competences in technical disciplines through experiential learning and practical applications.
● Enhance Scalability and Sustainability: Support the creation and growth of social enterprises through mentorship, incubation services, and strategic partnerships.
● Facilitate Knowledge Exchange: Build an EU-wide ecosystem for continuous exchange between education, enterprises, and research, enhancing innovation and inclusivity in the social economy.
