SMiLD - Students with Mathematics Learning Disabilities
The European project entitled SMILD was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnership for School Education. The aim of the SMiLD project is to promote the acquisition of skills and key competences by secondary school Maths teachers to address learning disabilities.

The SMILD project is promoted by the Dept. of Mathematics of the University of Genoa. The project aims at promoting the acquisition of skills and key competences by secondary school Maths teachers to address learning disabilities of their students. The project has developed Guidelines addressed to Maths teachers on analyzing the learning disabilities in Maths as well as on how to address these learning disabilities and common difficulties in Maths. The project also created three types of tools that aim to, respectively: (1) identify learning disabilities of Maths students (2) take action and tackle the identified disabilities (3) monitor and assess the improvements made.
